Arise

 What are we up against?

Ephesian 6:12 says: “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

Most of us seem to be walking in heaviness, dragging ourselves as we live in this world. It is like we are carrying a heavy burden. Perhaps we are.

Let me suggest that unknown to us and unseen by us, all these demonic spirits have burrowed into our spirit man. Whispering lies and untruths to us and over time we start buying into it and begin meditating on these untruths and sinful thoughts, we have opened the doors and allowed these spirits to have a foothold in us. They cling on to us and teach us to do wrongful acts. The more there are, the heavier we get. That’s why we are dragging ourselves more and more. These spiritual baggages are demonic spirits associated with negative adjectives like hatred, disobedience, unforgiveness, lies, rejections, loneliness, self-pity, bareness, sexual sins, immorality, bitterness, and etc.…

The key is that if we can name it, we can nail it. As long as we can name these unclean spirits that’s causing the mischiefs, we can get rid of it because we have a name that is above all other name, which is the name of Jesus.

Read Galatians 5:19-21

This is not demon possession but demonic influences. Over time, it may become possession because light and darkness cannot co-exist. One will displace the other, if we allow it. We are given the free will by God so the control is in our hands. Let us not be ignorant but take proactive steps to circumvent our lives’ situation.
